The Role
SUMMARY :
The Oncology Strategic Market Access Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Pfizer's access strategy for its oncology portfolio. This includes developing and implementing strategic approaches to ensure optimal patient access, reimbursement, and value recognition across key markets. The role supports both in-line and pipeline oncology assets, with a focus on aligning access strategies with brand objectives and evolving payer landscapes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and implement market access strategies for oncology products, including pricing, reimbursement, and payer engagement.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to support product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Create and refine payer value propositions and access platforms.
  • Assess, adapt, and translate economic and clinical data into simple and compelling messages tailored for payers, regulatory authorities, healthcare providers, and budgetary holders, with the objective of facilitating patient access to Pfizer innovations.

Market & Payer Insights:
  • Analyze market trends, payer policies, and competitive landscapes to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to generate evidence supporting product value and access.

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with payers, providers, and other stakeholders to communicate product value.
  • Identify opportunities and collaborate cross-functionally to engage in "win : win" partnerships with traditional and non-traditional stakeholders in order to positively influence product access

Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Regulatory, and Global Access teams.
  • Highlight the cross-functional impacts of anticipated changes in the payer environment to the brand teams in order to further enrich the Brand Team's anticipation of the fu
  • Align access strategies with broader commercial and clinical goals.

Performance Monitoring:
  • Define KPIs and track performance of access initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, pricing, or health economics.
  • Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic areas and payer dynamics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of oncology payer perspectives and their motivational drivers
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills
