SUMMARY:

The Commercial Onboarding team works directly with Business Development Officers and their customers for successful product and service additions and implementations. They will assist with documentation of new products and services and work directly with clients for onboarding.  They will span the product and service offering to ensure all setup, and initial servicing is accurate, complete and satisfactory.  The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for completion of a variety of functions which support the overall management of our commercial products, including management of ICS/CDARs, negotiated interest rates, IOLTA reporting and support of account analysis maintenance.

Assists with training and guidance to team members with respect to understanding, processing, and managing the workload. 

Assists in the development and implementation of operational plans, policies, procedures, and goals that further scalability, automation and efficiency.

Collaborates with peers and leaders and makes recommendations for changes to gain efficiency. 

Fosters strong relationships with leader and peers to ensure collaboration and effective communication within the team.

Assists with process flow documentation for assigned systems and areas of responsibility and pursues areas of improvement. 

Assists in maintaining the repository of procedures, processes, job aids, and other critical information for functional areas.

Assists in driving the effective use of technology within functional areas.

Performs work within customer service level expectations and key vendor processing timelines. 

Performs daily work as defined accurately.

Makes recommendations to leadership about possible changes to processing that will enhance the process.

Assists with business proposals and presentations for customer sales meetings.

Assists officers and customers with execution of product and service agreements.

Sets up customers, accounts and service offerings within the IBS systems including rate plans and agreed upon terms of the agreement.

Serves as a liaison across functional areas to ensure accurate setup and execution of products and services.

Manages and reports IOLTA accounts, execution of interest rate changes, and support of ICS and CDARs products.

Completes commercial deposit account opening and documentation. 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing.  You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Strong knowledge and understanding of account documentation and retention requirements.

Strong knowledge and understanding of business products and service offerings.

Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic and attitude.

Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner.

Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines as defined.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills. 

Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Ability to understand and utilize banking industry technology.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Associate’s degree preferred.

Minimum of two years’ experience in banking, preferably in operations required.
