A positive onboarding experience that ends with the customer using their real data, relevant to their business, and queryable by their organization is critical to future retention and growth of our customer base. We see this role as a critical step in setting up our two-role account team for success. This will report to the Director of Customer Enablement and sit on the onboarding manager team. You will cross-functionally coordinate between sales, solutions architects, professional services, training, and support. This person will be based in the pacific time zone.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Manage dbt Labs' largest accounts to initial product adoption while ensuring an amazing start to their customer journey.
- Clearly communicate with customer’s about account setup requirements and expectations, align on best practices, and motivate key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales, professional services, support, and training to deliver a superior customer experience in a condensed period of time.
- Leverage data and feedback for ongoing improvements to the onboarding process.
- Document and communicate a customer’s business and operational objectives to have the dbt Labs team best support the customer through the rest of their subscription.
- Cover the US West regions.
You are a good fit if you:
- Are a natural cross-collaborator
- Harbor an extreme attention to detail
- Can own the (Zoom) room filled with customer executives in varying industries, and aren’t afraid to ask tough clarifying questions
- Have the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Are always thinking about how to balance scale with customer experience
- Have previously worked in a customer success or customer-facing project management role
- Have strong empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills. No two customers are alike!

- Compensation: $85,000-$97,000
