Job Title: O&M Manual Technical Writer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised O&M Manual Writer to support the delivery of a construction project by compiling complete, accurate, and Client-compliant Operations and Maintenance manuals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, developing, and organising comprehensive Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals that clearly describe the systems, equipment and procedures needed for the long-term operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver clear, accurate, and well-organised Operations & Maintenance manuals in accordance with Client specifications and project requirements.
- Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams to gather and validate system data, technical content, and equipment details.
- Structure manuals logically, including sections such as system overviews, operating procedures, maintenance schedules, safety protocols, equipment schedules, and as-built documentation.
- Track document status, approvals, and version control throughout the lifecycle of the project.
· Perform quality checks to ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and properly formatted.
- Submit manuals through the project’s document control system, e.g. Procore, BIM 360 or as required by the Client.
- Assist in closing out project documentation packages in alignment with Commissioning and Project Handover schedules.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience writing O&M manuals or technical documentation, preferably on mission-critical infrastructure projects (data centers, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, etc.).
- Familiarity with MEP and BMS Systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, and schematics.
- Excellent written communication, organisation, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, or other markup tools is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
- Degree or diploma in engineering, technical writing, construction management, or a related field.
