The Role
Cypress Creek Solutions is searching for a Field Training Manager within our Operations and Maintenance department. This role will develop and implement training, documentation, policies, and procedures to provide our field team with the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to perform their work safely and effectively. , root cause analyses and lessons learned are incorporated into training and procedures. This position will report to a Director, in the O&M Division. This position will be based in Durham, NC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create in-field (practical) training modules and track competency/qualifications of Solutions Team
- Provide SME input for policies and procedures affecting field work responsibilities
- Work with Directors, to develop and implement a systematic training program, covering both O&M field training and HSSE training, for field technicians utilizing computer-based training and in-person instruction administered via a comprehensive learning management system
- Assess training and procedures for effectiveness and continuously improve to address identified gaps in KSAs and areas of improvement
- Support field personnel by ensuring they have resources to do their job effectively
- Promoting a safety culture across all of O&M and assisting in the development, revisions, and implementation for field-related policies and procedures for O&M
- Train and onboard new employees.

- Conduct Virtual Training Sessions using various digital platforms to reach remote employees
- Create and Track field level training for Employees
- Work with external vendors to provide specialized training as needed
- Onboard all Field Technicians
- Manage Master Electrician and track state requirements for NEC Electrical Code
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years field experience in a technical industry, power generation or solar industry preferred
- 2+ years developing procedures and implementing training programs
- Experience working with equipment covered by the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, National Electrical Safety Code
- Demonstrated experience initiating and developing a technical training program
- Technical Writing experience is a plus
- Excellent organization, collaboration, and project management skills
- Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and Learning Management Systems (i.e., HSI, Articulate360)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and manage competing priorities
Locations: Our preference is to be located in Durham, NC but open to remote candidates depending on experience level
Compensation: The salary range for the position is $80,000 - 115,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
