Job Overview:
Oliver Wyman’s Bangkok Office is hiring Senior Consultants / Associates to join a growing Thailand team delivering strategy-led transformation work across public and private sector clients. Our projects often sit at the intersection of strategy, operating model, capability building, and execution planning – helping senior leaders make the right decisions, then translating them into practical roadmaps.
This is a high-growth opportunity for professionals who enjoy solving complex problems, working closely with senior stakeholders, and building a differentiated consulting franchise in Thailand and the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Experienced professionals bring us the know-how to make lasting change for our clients and our company. We are not typical ‘management’ consultants. We provide industry- and discipline-specific knowledge and expertise, which amplifies our impact and helps us shape the future for our clients. Oliver Wyman is a diverse, entrepreneurial, non-competitive partnership of individuals who like to pursue new opportunities or build a unique franchise doing what they do best in a collegial, fun environment.
The Senior Consultant / Associate position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals with significant prior experience. As a professional member of our firm, your initial responsibilities will include:
- Lead or co-lead workstreams within client engagements: structuring problems, developing hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing insights into clear recommendations.
- Conduct primary and secondary research, stakeholder interviews, and data-driven analyses (qualitative and quantitative).
- Develop client-ready presentations and memos with crisp storylines, strong logic, and actionable recommendations.
- Support design of strategies, operating models, governance, KPI frameworks, capability roadmaps, and implementation plans(strategy-to-execution).
- Partner with OW leadership on business development, including proposal drafting, workshop design, and thought leadership.
- Build strong working relationships with client teams; present analyses and recommendations with Partner guidance.
- Contribute to an entrepreneurial culture: mentoring junior colleagues, improving internal toolkits, and raising the bar on quality.
We are looking for individuals who take a long-term view, want to be a core part of our team and grow into the future leaders of our team and beyond.
Desired Skills and Experience:
We are open to a range of backgrounds - what matters most is structured thinking, strong communication, and the ability to drive outcomes.
Experience / seniority
- Typically 10+ years since bachelor’s degree or 5+ years since master’s degree (flexible based on overall fit and role-level calibration).
- Demonstrated track record of owning meaningful problem-solving work, delivering high-quality outputs under tight timelines, and working with senior stakeholders.
Relevant background (examples; not exhaustive)
- Strategy consulting, internal corporate strategy, transformation / operating model roles, corporate development, product/strategy roles in leading organizations, or advisory/analytics roles in public-sector / regulated environments.
- Experience in strategy-to-implementation contexts is valuable—e.g., designing a strategy, translating it into a roadmap, mobilizing initiatives, and tracking outcomes (not just PMO reporting).
Sector exposure (any is fine; breadth is a plus)
- Financial services, capital markets, industrials/manufacturing, energy, infrastructure/platform businesses, technology/digital, and/or public sector/SOEs.
Core skills
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; comfort working with imperfect data and ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to write and present clear, persuasive narratives for senior audiences.
- Team leadership and collaboration: can guide junior team members and work effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- High ownership mindset, maturity, and good judgment.
Language
- Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written) is mandatory for the role
