In this role, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams to help energy and commodity trading organizations solve complex business and technology challenges, shaping scalable solutions across trading, risk, operations, data, and technology. You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, IT, Computer Science, technology, engineering, finance, or related discipline

  • 10+ years of experience in ETRM consulting, implementation, application management, or commodity-trading technology

  • Experienced in managing and delivering projects using Agile, hybrid, or traditional methodologies

Functional Knowledge

  • Proven ability to operate as a hands-on functional and technical consultant while leading complex, multidisciplinary teams

  • Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle from deal capture through position and P&L, valuation and risk, confirmations, scheduling/nominations, physical logistics, settlements, invoicing and accounting.

  • Deep expertise in at least one commodity - power, natural gas/LNG, crude and refined products, environmental products or metals with the ability to operate across adjacent commodities.

  • Strong understanding of market and reference data, forward curves, pricing indices, valuation inputs, simulation/risk results, trade-event processing and reconciliation between ETRM, exchanges, market operators, accounting and downstream systems.

  • Expertise configuring ETRM reference data, transaction structures, price curves, matching rules, financial deals, and operational workflows

  • FRM, CFA, SCR, or equivalent professional certifications in risk, finance, or energy are preferred.

  • Deep implementation expertise in at least one leading ETRM platform, with Openlink Endur strongly preferred, followed by RightAngle and Allegro

  • Exposure to additional platforms such as ENTRADE, Fusion or Beacon would be good to have.

  • Candidates should have led significant functional or techno-functional workstreams across at least 2 full-lifecycle ETRM implementations, upgrades, migrations or major transformation programs

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL, relational databases, ETRM data models, APIs, interfaces, batch processing, data migration, reporting, configuration, customization, and extension frameworks

  • Hands-on development experience in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, or Python, with the ability to develop, debug, and review ETRM customizations, integrations, and supporting components.

  • Working knowledge of source control, DevOps (CI/CD), automated testing, ETRM platforms capabilities across on-prem/cloud/hybrid landscapes, and modern software-delivery practices is also expected.

  • Expertise in customizing ETRM systems, developing integration frameworks, building plug-ins, extensions, serverless functions, and microservices.

  • Ability to orchestrate/coordinate systems integration through architecture, design, data/domain architecture and integration between ETRM and modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
