Role Summary:
The Business Analyst will support the analytics team by building high-quality SQL queries, Excel models, and data-driven insights. This role focuses on strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to translate business questions into structured analysis. The candidate will work closely with Senior Analysts and Lead Analysts to support execution of commercial and operational analytics projects
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex problems into simple analytical steps
Curiosity to learn new tools and concepts, with self-motivation to continuously grow
Good business understanding and the ability to link data patterns to real business situations
Ability to read and interpret basic financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to support analysis
1+ years of hands-on SQL and Excel experience (non-negotiable), with comfort writing queries and building structured models
A detail-oriented mindset ensuring accuracy in data cleaning, validation, and reporting
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within teams
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related fields
Exposure to commercial or operations analytics in manufacturing is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, cleansing, and preparing datasets for analysis
Build structured Excel models and reports that are easy to reuse and update for stakeholders
Support analysis by reading financial statements and understanding revenue, cost, and margin drivers
Assist Senior Analysts in creating executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and summaries
Validate datasets to ensure consistency across KPIs and maintain high data integrity
Participate in requirement discussions and convert them into clear analytical tasks
Document analytical logic, transformation rules, and data definitions for reuse
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support operational or commercial decision-making
Identify potential data issues early and highlight risks to senior team members
Skills Required
- 1+ years of hands-on SQL experience
- 1+ years of hands-on Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related fields
