What you'll do
*Note: This is a part-time position with varying hours. The weekly average hours will be 10-20 through December and increase to 20-30 through January and February.
Attendance at the company event in Central Florida is required from March 1 through March 8, 2025.
- Collaborate with the internal planning team on all aspects of the event
- Research, vet, and engage with contractors across all event functions (setup, catering, audio/visual, etc.)
- Book venues for dinners and activities, which includes contract review and day-of logistics
- Manage transportation companies, which includes contract review and day-of logistics
- Handle accounting processes such as event contracts, invoices, and the updating event budget
- During the event, act as liaison for the internal planning team and the hotel staff
- Daily review of BEOs and communication with the internal planning team
- Handle various administrative duties for the event
- Post-event invoice reconciliation, task reviews, and documentation

- 2-4 years experience in event planning, coordination, and/or management
- Proven track record of organizing successful events in a corporate environment
- Outstanding communication, vendor management, and negotiation skills
- Experience managing budgets and expense tracking
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with Google Docs and Slides
- Strong problem solving skills
Nice to haves:
- Experience at a B2B SaaS company, selling to a technical audience
- Located in or familiar with planning events in Central Florida

The hourly compensation range for this position is $30 to $45. This range reflects the low and high end of the U.S. compensation range Kentik reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role. The actual compensation offered may be lower or higher than the stated range depending on various factors, including but not limited to:
- Experience with the skill sets required for success
- Demonstrated competencies and potential
- A geographic market-based approach
