Office365 Administrator and Engineer (Engineer II)

We are seeking a Full Time Candidate for an Engineer II role, to provide support and expertise for Office365 Administration and Engineering including Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Viva, Forms, Azure EntraID (Active Directory), Windows 365, Intune and PowerBI. Office 365 Administration and Security

• The focus of this role is Office 365 architecture, configuration, automation, troubleshooting complex issues, and integration with other systems in addition to administration.
• Administer and maintain Office 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related services (e.g., mailflow, retention, security policies, Teams Room devices, dynamic distribution lists, legal hold, e-discovery).
• Develop and enforce a disciplined taxonomy and structure for security groups, files, SharePoint sites, Teams, email, distribution lists and other entitlements.
• Ensure security, integrity, and compliance of Office 365, including role-based security (RBAC), PIM, MFA (Microsoft & third-party such as Okta), SSO, Windows Hello, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Manage configuration baselines, profiles, and group-based policies for end users, groups, and departments.
• Ensure compliance with licensing policies, auto-provisioning, and identity management automation using Microsoft MIM integrated with HRIS systems.
• Disaster recovery, geo-redundancy, and backup solutions for Office 365.

Identity and Access Management

• User provisioning, deprovisioning, and entitlement automation, integrating with HRIS systems.
• Manage and configure Azure Active Directory / EntraID, Cloud groups, Hybrid accounts, Azure Identity Protection (AIP), B2B/B2C, hybrid AD environments, and Active Directory trusts.
• Lifecycle management of licenses, entitlements, users, groups, and identities.

Security and Compliance

• Implement security configurations for data protection, including classification, encryption, and DLP.
• Geo-location configurations to meet GDPR and data-security requirements.
• Participate in compliance audits, tracking deviations, and ensuring adherence to security policies and regulatory standards.
• Reporting and auditing for compliance, including optimization and monitoring of Office 365 resources.

Automation and Scripting

• Develop and maintain PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Power Automate scripts for bulk management, integrations and reporting.

Endpoint and Device Management

• Support for hybrid and cloud-joined Windows 11 devices and other endpoints, including device security and patch management.
• Familiarity with Intune conditional access policies and asset discovery and management systems.

Enterprise Systems Integration

• Administer and integrate Office 365 with other enterprise systems, including Enterprise Application management, MFA, and SSO configuration.
• Position will require occasional travel to Curinos’ New York office for meetings and team collaboration.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $135,000 (plus bonus)

Desired Skills & Expertise

Candidates should have the following background, skills, and characteristics:

• Information Technology or related major with 3-5 years of experience in Office365 administration and engineering
• Strong Engineering skills related to Office365, Azure Active Directory (EntraID), Exchange, Teams, SharePoint,
• Strong scripting and automation skills with Powershell, Graph, Power Automate, MIM and Intune
• Disciplined security, governance and compliance mindset
• ITIL certification or working knowledge of the ITIL framework
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows365, AWS Workspace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with ITSM tools such as Jira ITSM Service Desk
• Experience with SCCM, Conditional Access, Widows Defender, Remote Access and Zero Trust tools
• Basic understanding of Amazon AWS
