What we are looking for:
This position serves as the primary receptionist for the Oregon Department of Forestry, located at the agency Headquarters in the Administration Building (Bldg. C). This position is the first point of public contact for the Department.
We are looking for an energetic individual who enjoys working with people, brings positivity to the work environment and engages well with the public.
This position supports other programs within administration to perform clerical duties, including but not limited to use of MS office, copy machines, printers, fax machines and other office equipment.
The person selected for this position will be required to work in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Remote work for this position is not available.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Note: Driver’s License Check – This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for official State business. As part of the hiring process, the agency uses Advanced Reporting LLC to conduct all required DMV and CDL driving‑record checks. Advanced Reporting LLC will obtain and review the driving record for the top candidate to verify possession of a valid license and an acceptable driving record.

Salary determination:
Per the Pay Equity Law passed in 2017, a pay equity analysis for starting salary will be conducted to determine what pay step the successful candidate will be offered.
