Job Description SummaryThe Mailroom Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the mailroom by processing, sorting, distributing, and delivering incoming and outgoing mail and packages. This role provides exceptional customer service to employees, clients, and vendors while ensuring the accurate and timely handling of mail, courier shipments, and accountable packages.
The Mailroom Associate maintains operational efficiency, supports shipping and logistics activities, and helps ensure compliance with company policies, carrier requirements, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Deliver mail and packages throughout client locations according to established procedures.
  • Process shipments through carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS.
  • Handle accountable mail and packages while maintaining accurate tracking records.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and package management activities.
  • Maintain mailroom supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
  • Operate postage equipment, shipping software, and package tracking systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support bulk mailing projects and special delivery requests.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized mailroom environment.
  • Follow company, client, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous mailroom, shipping, logistics, customer service, or office services experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and postal operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $22.53 - $26.50
