About the role 

Our Amsterdam HQ is where a lot of OpenUp's energy happens: daily lunches in the kitchen, regular borrels on Thursday afternoons, impromptu whiteboard sessions, and the occasional office yoga class. We're looking for a part-time (32h) Office Manager to keep that space humming and make sure everyone who works from, visits, or joins our office has a great experience.

You'll be the go-to person for everything office and culture related, from suppliers and facilities to team events and the general vibe of the place. It's a varied, hands-on role with real ownership over how the office feels and runs. At OpenUp we're actively adopting AI in how we work, and we'd love for you to bring that same mindset to the office: using AI to plan smarter, spend better, and free up time for the human side of the job. You'll be part of our People team and report to the HR Manager.


What you’ll do
  • Run the day-to-day of our Amsterdam HQ: supplies, deliveries, meeting rooms, plants, coffee, and everything in between.
  • Own vendor and supplier relationships (cleaning, catering, office supplies, IT equipment support, building management) and keep an eye on the office budget.
  • Make sure the office is a place people actually want to come to: tidy, well-stocked, welcoming for guests, and set up for both focused work and good conversations.
  • Organise the moments that make OpenUp, OpenUp: borrels, monthly themed drinks, anniversaries, the company-wide summer fest, Christmas party, smaller team celebrations, and more.
  • Support onboarding logistics so new joiners feel welcome from day one, including welcome kit, and the office tour.
  • Partner with the People team on office-related employee experience topics.
  • Be the first point of contact for building management, health & safety, and any office-related questions from the team.

About you
  • You've done this kind of work before, whether that was running an office, managing a busy front of house, or keeping a team's day-to-day moving behind the scenes, ideally in a fast-growing, international company.
  • You're organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling a long to-do list without losing the plot.
  • You genuinely enjoy creating a great experience for people, whether that's a thoughtful welcome for a new hire or a well-run team event.
  • You're hands-on and solutions-oriented: if the dishwasher breaks or the caterer cancels last minute, you fix it instead of escalating it.
  • You're excited about AI and already use it (or are keen to) in your day-to-day work. You don't need to be technical, you just need to be the kind of person who reaches for an AI tool before a 30-slot spreadsheet.
  • You communicate clearly in Dutch & English (our working language). 
  • You're based in Amsterdam and happy to be in the office 4 days a week.
  • You care about mental well-being and are excited to contribute to our mission.
