JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Brooklyn Community Services, the Office Manager will assist with
facilities management, scheduling, and administrative support. The Office Manager will also work
closely with the Director to develop, maintain, and strengthen external partnerships with
community organizations, vendors, and other stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the day-to-day coordination and organization of office and program spaces, ensuring facilities are maintained, functional, and appropriately utilized.
- Manage and coordinate the scheduling and use of shared spaces across programs, ensuring accurate scheduling, timely resolution of conflicts, and appropriate preparation of spaces for meetings, programs, events, and other organizational activities.
- Work closely with the BCS Director to develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with external organizations, community partners, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Assist in coordinating meetings, communications, events, and other activities that support external partnerships and organizational initiatives.
- Assist the Pantry Coordinator with food distribution activities, including space, supplies, scheduling, and volunteer coordination.
- Coordinate and oversee volunteers and interns supporting BCS programs and activities.
- Other duties as assigned by BCS Director
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in education or social services or related field and five years of experience in social services.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of effective customer service principles.
- Basic knowledge of Office Suite
- Ability to craft marketing material and flyers using Canva
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) preferred
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS OVERVIEW
- $28.00 - $30.00 per hour; Up to 21 hours per week
- CPC offers eligible part-time staff members mandatory benefits, including paid New York State sick time
