Own the operational backbone of a biotech company solving plastic pollution.

Crows Nest, Sydney (Head Office)

Samsara Eco is on a mission to solve plastic pollution for good. We've built technology that recycles plastic and textiles infinitely - turning 10 billion tonnes of landfill waste into new packaging, clothing, and more. No new fossil fuels required. Just endless reuse of what already exists. Alongside our Canberra manufacturing plant, we have people based in China, Canada, the US, and Singapore, as well as Australia.

Our technology is like our team. One of a kind. And we know that, so while we are creating technology to repair our planet, we’re also building a great place to grow careers. A place where everyone can do the best work of their life, making meaningful impact on our planet and ourselves.

This isn’t just a job. This is the work that matters most right now.

The Role

This isn't an entry-level admin role. We're looking for an experienced operator to run the business side of Samsara Eco end to end: office operations, vendor and facilities management, executive support to the CEO, and help with board meeting coordination. You'll report to the Chief People Officer, work in close, daily partnership with the CEO, and travel occasionally to our Canberra manufacturing plant.

Note: this role suits school-hour availability (9am–3pm).

What you'll own

  • Full ownership of office operations - systems, procedures, supplies, and day-to-day workflows.
  • Facilities and vendor management - maintenance, suppliers, service providers, and building relationships.
  • Executive support for the CEO - diary and calendar management, travel coordination, meeting prep, and stakeholder liaison.
  • Help with board meeting coordination - pack preparation, scheduling, logistics, and follow-up action tracking.
  • People & Culture partnership - onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement, and company-wide events.
  • Events and travel planning - organising offsites, team gatherings, and celebrations, and coordinating travel for the CEO, leadership team, and wider team as needed.
  • Compliance and recordkeeping - company records, licences, policies, and WHS/OHS documentation, audit-ready at all times.

What you bring

  • 3–5+ years in office management, operations, or executive support, ideally in a fast-moving or scaling company.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor and facilities management.
  • Comfort operating alongside senior leadership, board members, and investors, with the judgement and discretion that requires.
  • Strong systems instincts – you build process where none exists and sharpen what's already there.
  • Calm, precise communication and the ability to manage competing priorities without dropping detail.
  • Genuine alignment with Samsara's mission and values: For the Earth, Move with Purpose, Embrace Change, Stronger Together, We're Courageous.
