The office coordinator handles staff and physician concerns under the discretion of the Manager/Administrator. The office coordinator assists the Manager/Administrator as assigned.
Employment Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications: The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
One year medical office experience preferred
Licensure, Registration, or Certification:
None
Essential Job Functions
- Handles staff and physician concerns under the direction of the Administrator.
- Assists Administrator with special projects as assigned.
- Coordinates completion of evaluations, Safety, HIPAA, and TB requirements for staff and physicians.
- Creates and maintains job addendums for all staff.
- Maintains employee files ensuring up to date licenses.
- Orients new staff to the practice to include instruction on policies and procedures.
- Handles all maintenance contracts equipment.
- Approves staff time through Dimensions.
- Credentials physicians with hospital and insurance.
- Responsible for month end reports which include: patient summary report, surgical patients report, pain/function report, insurance report, condensed surgical patient report, and patient summary report.
- Makes bank deposit as needed.
- Orders audio conference/educational materials.
- Coordinates employee social functions. Orders business cards, marketing materials, advertisements for marketing purpose.
- Orders lab coats, golf shirts, etc., and has them embroidered.
- Provides coverage for staff
- Commercial and VA referrals
- Social Media marketing
