Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an Office Coordinator to join our team at the OBGYN office!
This is a Full Time, benefits eligible position
Promotes and oversees a wide range of duties. Promotes the organization philosophy of excellent customer service. Monitor and maintains productivity, patient satisfaction, staff stability and satisfaction. Oversees the daily functions of the front desk, schedulers when necessary. Maintains payroll and time keeping information in the system. The Coordinator works with the Leadership in accordance with CMH department policies and procedures including HIPAA.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- A.D. in Business and/or two years or more of administrative experience in an academic setting preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with data entry/keyboarding
Essential Duties:
- Monitors the care and safety of patients arriving for procedures
- Ensures that all work is complete and that the staff functions efficiently
- Monitors and evaluates all quality control checks
- Assists in gathering information for the preparation of reports and patient billing purposes
- Facilitates cooperation between clerical and clinical functions
- Ensures accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
- Prepares and maintains payroll and timekeeping system
- Ensures the accuracy reports, information and their timely distribution
- Interacts professionally with patient, family and staff.
- Consults other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement initiatives
- Types and uploads documents from weekly JC (Joint Commission)
- Supervises the proper use of all equipment
- Actively participates in all customer service training
- Establishes and maintains the standards of performance
- Manages patient complaints up front immediately to bring resolution
- Attends and participates with committees as appropriate
- Ensures preventative maintenance of office equipment
- Cooperates in planning programs, safety and preparedness
- Supports appropriate progressive disciplinary action
