Michigan Ear Institute, a rapidly-growing provider of therapy services with a focus on Vestibular Rehabilitation, balance and fall prevention, is currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing organization and become part of our progressive team.
This position will both assist the department with therapy services under the direction of a PT, and will also be responsible for administrative duties.
This is a full time, Monday-Friday position that is 100% in person.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Physical Therapists with patient exercises and movement as directed
- Keeping the clinic clean & organized, as well as preparing treatment areas
- Greeting patients while also helping support front desk when needed in scheduling appointments, handling patient check-in/out, verifying insurance, authorizations and any other work as necessary to help the clinic workflow efficiency
This combined role requires a pro-active and self-motivated person capable of multi-tasking, with good organizational skills to help ensure smooth operations and positive patient experience. High proficiency and excellent communication skills are required.
Qualifications and benefits- High school diploma or GED required
- Work experience as a physical therapy technician/aide is helpful
- Previous front desk receptionist experience preferred
- Computer skills - must be comfortable working in Office 365 and EMR system. Knowledge of WebPT and/or Athena is helpful.
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with patients
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities
