Mare Island Brewing Co. in Vallejo, CA—a three-taproom, wholesale and retail brewing company, voted Best of the Bay by SF Gate—is searching for an Office Assistant to join our ranks and help us keep the brewery office trains running on time.

We’re looking for a diligent, detail-oriented individual to assist the Office Manager who is involved in many aspects of brewery administration. This position will work in our office at our brewery, located on the Mare Island Waterfront.
Examples of Duties:
- Weekly sales reports and reconciliation for three retail locations
- Quickbooks entry, cash counting and deposits
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- General office upkeep
- Organizing inventory and supplies
- Minimal HR compliance tasks, including workplace compliance posters and new hire packets
- Other clerical, accounting, and record-keeping duties including filing, scanning, purging
- Physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs
Required Competencies:
- Basic Word and Excel knowledge/experience
- Strong basic math skills
- 100% Ethical and ability to work with confidential information
- Professional and organized self-starter
- Detailed, details, detail oriented required
- Believe in the power of craft beer. Beer knowledge is a plus, but not required—we can teach that, but you must believe!
- Have an unshakeable positive nature, a sense of humor, honesty and reliability
- Work closely with the Office Manager to optimize all office-related procedures
- Logistics, distribution, merchandise displays, customer service skills a plus (not required)
Work Environment: Our office is located within our waterfront brewing and event facility which can be fast paced and sometimes loud. We enjoy a fun and friendly, yet challenging, atmosphere. We're seeking an employee who, in addition to experience and knowledge, brings a fun attitude and personality.
