Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Personnel
- Manage and direct the personnel resource of the technical trainers and technical administrators across all OES brands to ensure day-to-day operational efficiency, adherence to targets and customer satisfaction
- Carry out performance reviews of associates to drive and maintain individual and team performance levels
- Identify and assess the future and current training needs and CPD of all programme staff through skills matrices, job analysis and performance appraisals against KPI’s
- Work collaboratively with the Quality and Curriculum Management teams to ensure the qualifications and skills development of trainers necessary to maintain quality of delivery and maximise customer and associate satisfaction
- Ensure team compliance with Bosch policies, central directives, and mandatory corporate training requirements
- Facilitate cross team support to efficiently meet staffing demands and deputise during team absence
Customer and Programme
- Manage training programme performance, utilising Power BI, and all other relevant LMS reporting mechanisms to fulfil client requirements and contract KPI’s
- Work collaboratively with brands, dealer networks and internal/external stakeholders to manage and maintain vehicle training fleets, ensuring correct and suitable vehicles for training delivery
- Manage the effective development and implementation of the training curricula in line with client requirements
- Evaluate training programme effectiveness through analysis of feedback survey data and regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Actively work with the Training Leadership Team to ensure appropriate synergies are in place to offer cost savings
- Manage brand-specific surveys and post course feedback mechanisms to identify any areas for development and equipment shortfall
- Evaluation and management of the annual training and assessment calendar, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to meet current and future capacity requirements
Financial
- Effective management of programme attendance, progression, retention and timely achievement, in line with internal and external benchmarks
- Control and delegate all elements necessary for the support and delivery of technical programmes in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Ensure with the help of all stakeholders, that all programmes are run within budget
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure all self-assessment, quality improvement and assurance activities are managed and supported appropriately across all programmes, in accordance with Bosch requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Curriculum Development Manager to support brand design, and to develop and implement highly effective and inclusive training delivery methodologies and resources
- Liaise with client Training Managers, Bosch UK Key Account Managers and Sales teams to maximise business opportunities and resolve customer issues when required
- Maintain close working relationships amongst all members of the Training Leadership Team
- Support the Customer and Business Development Manager in the establishment and delivery of new training programmes as required
- Work collaboratively with Centre Management to maintain safe, efficient operation and management of training resources relating to the customer brands under area of responsibility
- Responsibility for planning, implementation and achievement of all relevant reviews and assessments where required

- The flexibility to travel throughout the UK is required in to support customer accounts and certain business activities. On occasion, this may entail participation in events outside of normal working hours and staying away from home.
- The job holder is required to show flexibility in ensuring that the Division's business hours are covered
Targets and Measures
The job holder's success will be measured by:
- Key performance indicators (e.g. courses delivered, attendance, planning and scheduling etc)
- Efficient management of training resource and adherence to budgets
- Observation and feedback from the management team, customers, and other training stakeholders as to the satisfactory performance of duties
- The willingness and commitment demonstrated to work as a member of the Technical Services & Support Training (TSS2) team, in addition to the positive demonstration of a customer-oriented approach
- Compliance with company and divisional policies and procedures e.g. time keeping, data security
- Ongoing development of personal competence and expertise
- Visibly working to a clear plan, with a clear sense of direction, and displaying the motivation necessary to succeed
- Annual and/or periodic performance review with his/her manager
