Job Description:

Intel Chandler, Arizona Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) is part of Intel Foundry's Manufacturing and Supply Chain group (FMSC) and is responsible for the high-volume production of Intel silicon using some of the world's most advanced manufacturing processes. As part of Intel's Integrated Device

Intel Chandler, Arizona Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) is part of Intel Foundry's Manufacturing and Supply Chain group (FMSC) and is responsible for the high-volume production of Intel silicon using some of the world's most advanced manufacturing processes.

As part of Intel's Integrated Device Manufacturer 2.0 (IDM2.0) strategy with Foundry Capability, Intel Chandler, Arizona site is building new fabs for the latest technology nodes including Intel 18A and beyond. This exciting transformation at Intel needs talented candidates with Lithography Reticle experience in Foundry to service local and global customers.

As an Intel OTF Senior Litho Process Engineer focused on reticles/mask, you'll join and help lead a team to develop the most efficient means for semiconductor manufacturing, enabling microprocessors to yield higher and be manufactured more affordable. A senior Reticle engineer will partner with yield and other equipment engineers and own monitoring and controlling reticle quality and performance; conducting data analysis to improve processes; and managing quality measurement for Intel's latest technologies. A senior engineer has responsibilities that touch multiple pillars within the department including safety, quality, yield, affordability, velocity (output and cycle time), training, and productivity - driving systematic improvements in each of these vectors. A senior process engineer may also be responsible for supporting cross-functional and cross-department activities to enable parametric and defectivity matching and improvement. In addition to driving results in these spaces, a senior process engineer is expected to be a role model for the site's culture and set the standard expectations to working in a results driven environment. Training/development and mentoring of junior engineers is also an expectation as we develop the team for future challenges.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring sufficient safety and workplace organization of the area and ensuring copy exactly matching of eqp configuration, parameters, and targeting to a defined standard.

  • Regular review of Reticle Inspection equipment and availability ensuring equipment matching and repeatability.

  • Driving continuous improvement in the tool health and process matching of the reticle platforms by utilizing Virtual Factory BIC performance shared learnings, continuous improvement projects, developing, maintaining, and executing improvement roadmap across all the different factory pillars while optimizing process parameters.

  • Driving continuous improvements on Mask health and defect containment to prevent excursions and ensure reticles are of the highest quality standards. This includes applying constant learnings with virtual factory partners and throughout mask shop creation.

  • Applying model-based problem solving to identify root cause of reticle changes, mismatches from target, monitor failures, or Print changes; and then developing permanent solutions to prevent repeat occurrences.

  • Conducting tests and measurements to determine control over such variables as Photo Induced defects, Environmental changes, Mask creation variability, and yield marginalities.

  • For new technology start-ups, managing tool installations, conversions, and qualifications plus delivering sigma matched performance and recipe matching.

  • Developing Systems to help model Reticle changes and monitor reticle health.

The ideal candidate should have the following traits:

  • Expertise in Mask shop processing with focus on latest manufacturing process technology and advanced cleans process, photo induced defect mode detection, phase shift and advanced mask imaging techniques, frame layout techniques and defect classifications.

  • Demonstrated capability of working in a high performing team culture which includes setting high expectations, driving accountability to those expectations with a high sense of urgency, role modeling the desired culture, possess excellent teamwork and leadership skills, demonstrated problem solving and prioritization skills, and driving high-performance maintenance goals for the group.

  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication, an ability to deal with ambiguity in defining activities and direction, and commitment to task.

  • Ability to work independently and manage stakeholders

  • High motivation with a strong work ethic

  • Strong analytical mind with problem solving skills

  • Ability to build interactions with internal Intel support groups such as Mask shop production and Reticle delivery teams to drive Lithography business needs.

  • Ability to Analyze complex data and complete failure mode engineering analysis to develop technical roadmaps based on risk areas.
