As an Ocean Import Coordinator, you will coordinate day-to-day import shipments, process import documentation, and report shipment statuses to respective parties. You will be a partner in our Ocean Import department developing and maintaining good relationships with carriers, truckers, customers, and warehouses.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry handling ocean import or export operations is required.
- Previous experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Proven ability to handle high volumes of data entry.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Electronic file management (Arrival Notice generating, 7501, BOL issuing, etc.).
- Track, trace, and update ocean import containers/shipments in CargoWise One, coordinating with internal and external partners as needed.
- Communicate shipment delays or documentation issues to clients and overseas agents.
- Problem resolution between customers, carriers, and vendors.
- Trace rail shipments to provide final ETA updates and pickup numbers to clients.
- AWS shipment tracing to provide courtesy last free day notice.
Salary:
- $22-$28/hour dependent on transferable experience and education level.
