The Caribbean & Pacific team is looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Ocean fulfilment team in Panama City, Panama. The team is responsible for planning and executing all aspects related to Customers promises and assets in a specific service scope, including container flows (empty and laden) and vessel scheduling activities.

As an Ocean Fulfilment Lead, you’ll play a vital part in our success. You will be responsible for the on-time delivery of customers’ goods through optimal planning and execution. The role bridges commercial pursuits with operational efficiency, achieving a first-rate customer experience, process excellence, and optimal cost.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain service delivery focus and ensure we deliver what we sold to our customers at the lowest possible cost.

  • Responsible for optimizing network assets as well as externally procured capacity where appropriate within geographical scope.

  • Monitor bookings and optimize space by adjusting allocation between load ports (rolling, rerouting) in conjunction with Market colleagues including both laden and empty flow and strive for high utilization across all services through forecast accuracy and downfall analysis.

  • Own vessel scheduling to meet reliability and delivery requirement, work with GEC, N&M and Maersk Ops to manage bunker consumption and drive reduction, coordinate delivery/re-delivery plan.

  • Manage Scheduling, Berth planning & Proforma Management along with Bunker and port productivity efficiency.

  • Participate and coordinate new deployments and optimization opportunities with Network and Marketing leads to underpin customer experience and network efficiency.

  • Own and manage contingencies related to container operations, minimize end-to-end service delivery impact during contingency handling.

  • Supports execution of empty flow plan within network by coordinating closely with equipment managers.

  • Identify and suggest continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree from a reputable educational facility. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Shipping industry.

  • Strong customer-centric mindset, with a proactive, disciplined, and results-driven approach.

  • Comfortable working with data; able to make independent, well-informed judgements under pressure on their own.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines; flexible with working hours.

  • Effective communicator, capable of engaging with cross-cultural teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and a collaborative team player.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
