What this job involves:

As an Occupancy Planning Lead at JLL, you'll direct our team supporting a major technology client, serving as the trusted advisor for all occupancy planning services. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—you'll leverage industry expertise and best practices to deliver exceptional outcomes while providing thought leadership that shapes how our clients optimize their real estate portfolios. You'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving, building critical relationships across JLL businesses and client organizations while championing innovative approaches to workplace planning. Your expertise will drive space utilization strategies, sequencing complex moves, and resolving planning challenges that align with broader business goals.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with client leadership and internal JLL teams, serving as the primary point of contact for occupancy planning initiatives while fostering coordination across multiple business units

  • Develop comprehensive occupancy plans and move sequences that maximize space utilization, align with client objectives, and balance competing priorities across the portfolio

  • Analyze complex real estate data using Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, advanced calculations) and AI-powered tools to uncover insights, create compelling narratives, and inform strategic decision-making

  • Collaborate with leadership teams to recommend space policies, develop site strategies, and provide expert guidance on workplace optimization and portfolio planning

  • Lead and mentor your team through ambiguous situations, providing clear direction, establishing expectations, and ensuring timely execution of deliverables with measurable outcomes

  • Create persuasive presentations and executive-level communications that translate technical data and floor plans into actionable recommendations for diverse audiences

  • Champion innovation by leveraging generative AI tools to streamline research, enhance productivity, and improve the quality of client deliverables while applying critical thinking

  • Navigate organizational change with resilience and strategic acumen, making risk-informed decisions that drive transformation and sustainable improvements

Required qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in occupancy planning at a strategic level, interior office planning, or corporate real estate data analytics

  • Exceptional communication abilities including active listening, persuasive presentation skills, and capacity to engage effectively from administrative to executive levels

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with expertise in pivot tables, XLOOKUP, complex calculations, and floor plan interpretation

  • Proven stakeholder management skills with ability to build critical relationships, coordinate across JLL businesses, and diplomatically balance competing priorities

  • Strong bias toward transformation and execution, coupled with structured problem-solving approach and commercially astute perspective

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities including effective structuring, staffing, and management with clarity of expectations and corrective action when needed

  • High perseverance and resourcefulness with ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations while maintaining unwavering ethical standards

  • Influencing and collaborative leadership style that inspires action, operates with urgency, and drives teams toward common vision

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Architecture, Design, Real Estate, Data Analytics, or related field

  • Experience leading large-scale teams, managing P&L, or supporting organizational transformation initiatives in corporate real estate or consulting environments

  • Deep expertise in occupancy planning best practices, space optimization strategies, and portfolio management with proven track record driving sustainable change

  • Background serving as trusted advisor to executive-level clients or leading cross-functional teams in complex corporate settings

  • Experience implementing workplace technologies, leading digital transformation, or serving as Subject Matter Expert for CAFM/IWMS platforms

  • Track record developing standard operating procedures or leading change management initiatives that deliver measurable operational improvements
