The OA/CTS Director provides leadership and oversight for the Outreach & Admissions and Career Transition Services departments. This position is responsible for developing strategic community partnerships, meeting student recruitment and placement goals, ensuring compliance with Job Corps and Department of Labor requirements, and leading a high-performing team dedicated to helping students enroll, graduate, and successfully transition into employment, higher education, military service, apprenticeships, or advanced training.
Essential Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Outreach & Admissions and Career Transition Services departments to achieve established performance goals.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, educational institutions, workforce agencies, community organizations, and elected officials to expand opportunities for students.
- Oversee student recruitment, admissions, arrival coordination, career transition, and placement services.
- Ensure students successfully transition to quality employment, higher education, apprenticeships, military service, or advanced training.
- Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed Department of Labor and company performance objectives.
- Recruit, interview, hire, coach, develop, evaluate, and, when necessary, discipline department staff.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Ensure staff vacancies are filled promptly and onboarding and ongoing training are completed.
- Participate in business outreach and job development activities that create employment and work-based learning opportunities for students.
- Promote Woodland Job Corps Center within the community and represent the Center at meetings, networking events, career fairs, and community functions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student information and ensure compliance with all integrity standards and reporting requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy of student data and compliance with Job Corps policies, the Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH), and Department of Labor regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, employers, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Center leadership and all departments to support student achievement and positive outcomes.
- Mentor and model Career Success Standards while fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for students.
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, develop improvement strategies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare reports and provide timely, accurate information to the Department of Labor and Corporate Office.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Director.
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekends: Saturday & Sunday Off

QualificationsQualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Public Administration, Workforce Development, Marketing, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in workforce development, education, admissions, career services, business development, human resources, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Experience building partnerships with employers, educational institutions, and community organizations.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, career placement, workforce development, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Skills Required
