The Nutmeg Insurance Agency is an internal agency of The Hartford. Our team works to deliver a customized experience to new and existing customers of The Hartford. The Nutmeg Agency utilizes partner relationships with specialty carriers to provide solutions when The Hartford is not able to.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Nutmeg Agency Consultant will be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive insurance solutions
Evaluating risk
Confidently asking for the sale while overcoming objections
Servicing our existing book of business

WORK FORMAT
This position is 100% remote.
SCHEDULE
Training Program:
Starts on June 2nd and lasts for 10 weeks.
Please note that time off during training is not accommodated.
Training Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm Eastern.
Post-Training Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm Eastern.
COMPENSATION
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$50,160 - $75,240
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 + years of sales experience and comfort with negotiating and overcoming objections
Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment, while navigating multiple programs.
Capacity to stay agile amid the constantly changing insurance industry.
Capability to maintain all state licenses and terminate prior carrier relationships as applicable.
Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High speed broadband cable internet service with minimum upload/download speeds of 100MB download/10MB upload. This is a customer-facing role requiring your full attention. A distraction free environment is essential.
