TitleTalent Advisor - Nursing Recruitment

The Nursing Talent Advisor serves as a strategic consultant and recruitment partner for Bronson Healthcare Group’s nursing workforce, supporting the full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning needs for Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other licensed nursing professionals. This role partners closely with nursing leadership and clinical departments to align hiring strategies with patient care priorities, operational demands, and long-term workforce goals. 

Beyond traditional recruitment, the Nursing Talent Advisor supports nursing pipeline development, academic partnerships, workforce analytics, and community outreach initiatives. The role leverages labor market insights, clinical workforce data, and innovative sourcing strategies to attract, engage, and retain high-quality nursing talent while promoting Bronson’s mission, values, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to nurse leaders, nurse managers, and clinical executives across Bronson facilities, aligning recruitment strategies with patient care delivery, staffing models, and workforce plans. 

  • Consult on role requirements, hiring priorities, recruitment timelines, and market conditions to support informed hiring decisions. 

  • Guide leaders through competency-based interviewing, structured selection processes, and offer decisions to ensure best-fit clinical hires. 

  • Collaborate with hiring leaders through all aspects of Talent Acquisition process.

  • Hiring Manager Partnership & Enablement: Meet with assigned hiring managers on a consistent cadence to review hiring progress, align on recruiting strategy, and coach leaders on the TA process, expectations, and best practices to improve speed, quality, and stakeholder experience. 

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for nursing roles, including inpatient, outpatient, specialty care, float pool, and critical staffing areas. 

  • Source, screen, interview, and manage candidates through application, offer, and onboarding stages, ensuring a positive and compliant candidate experience. 

  • Maintain compliance with licensure, credentialing, union considerations, and organizational hiring standards. 

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with nursing schools, academic institutions, residency programs, and professional organizations to build sustainable pipelines of emerging nursing talent. 

  • Support nurse residency, early-career, and student-to-practice initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Education and Nursing Leadership. 

  • Participate in academic advisory boards, clinical placement discussions, and workforce development initiatives as appropriate. 

  • Utilize workforce analytics, vacancy data, turnover trends, and regional labor market insights to inform recruitment strategies and workforce planning. 

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Workforce Planning teams to support forecasting, vacancy reduction, and succession planning efforts within nursing departments. 

  • Hiring Manager Partnership & Enablement: Meet with assigned hiring managers on a consistent cadence to review hiring progress, align on recruiting strategy, and coach leaders on the TA process, expectations, and best practices to improve speed, quality, and stakeholder experience. 

  • Incorporate compensation and market intelligence to support competitive hiring and offer strategies. 

  • Represent Bronson Healthcare Group at nursing career fairs, clinical open houses, community events, and academic partnership functions, including offsite events requiring travel. 

  • Champion Bronson’s employer brand and commitment to patient-centered care, professional development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion within the nursing workforce. 

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Talent teams to support targeted recruitment campaigns and outreach initiatives. 

  • Leverage AI tools, digital sourcing strategies, and targeted campaigns to attract passive and hard-to-fill nursing talent. 

  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred), CRM tools, and recruitment analytics to track progress, optimize workflows, and improve outcomes. 

  • Stay current on nursing licensure requirements, union dynamics, and healthcare labor market trends to inform sourcing and recruitment strategies. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Essential Qualifications 

 

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Nursing, or related field required. RN license or clinical background strongly preferred. 

 

Required Experience: 

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR, preferably within a healthcare or nursing-focused environment. Demonstrated experience consulting with clinical leaders, nurse managers, and healthcare stakeholders. Experience recruiting licensed nursing professionals across multiple specialties or care settings. Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred), Excel, and recruitment metrics. 

 

 

 

Additional Requirements: Ability to attend offsite recruitment, academic, and community events, including travel greater than 25 miles from a Bronson facility. 

  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong understanding of nursing roles, licensure requirements, and clinical workforce dynamics 

  • Knowledge of healthcare labor markets, union considerations, and nursing recruitment best practices 

  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred), recruitment analytics, and workforce metrics 

  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recruitment strategies 

  • Strong consultative, interpersonal, and stakeholder influence skills 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage clinical leaders and candidates effectively 

  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment 

  • Commitment to delivering a positive, inclusive, and compliant candidate experience 

  • Strong collaboration skills across HR, clinical leadership, education, and external partners 

 

Physical and Sensory Demands 

  • Prolonged sitting and computer use (up to 80% of workday). 

  • Frequent visual concentration for detailed payroll data review and system analysis. 

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of light objects (up to 20 pounds). 

  • High level of mental concentration required to meet strict benefit deadlines and regulatory compliance standards. 

 

Work Environment 

  • Work is performed in a professional office or hybrid home office environment.  

  • The position requires extensive computer use and frequent interaction with Finance, HR, IT, leadership, external vendors, and regulatory agencies.  

  • The environment is climate-controlled with minimal exposure to physical hazards.
