Nursing - Perioperative

Join the perioperative team at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital and be part of care across the full surgical journey — from anaesthetics, through theatre, to recovery. We are recruiting across nursing levels from Enrolled Nurse to Clinical Nurse Consultant.

About the opportunies

As part of our perioperative team you’ll work across the surgical journey on a rotating roster, with opportunities including:

• Anaesthetics (senior roles — CN / CNM / CNC)

• Scrub/Scout (Operating Theatre) — including specialty lists such as Cardiac Catheter Theatre and Urology

• Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU / Recovery)

• Day Surgery

• Endoscopy

Your area, level and rotation are based on your experience, skills and our service needs, and will be discussed with you during the recruitment process.

Classifications & remuneration

We’re recruiting across nursing classifications from Enrolled Nurse (EN) and Registered Nurse (RN) through to senior roles — Clinical Nurse (CN), Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) and Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC).

Remuneration reflects your classification and experience under the relevant agreement, plus superannuation, not-for-profit salary packaging, and applicable penalties, allowances or benefits. 

Employment & location 

• Employment term: Full-time and part-time available (minimum 0.6 FTE) 

• Location: St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital — opposite Roma St Parklands, a short walk from Brisbane city

• Current AHPRA registration at the relevant level (EN, RN, or senior classification) 

• Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available for this position) 

• Relevant perioperative experience — with additional experience and post-graduate qualifications expected for senior (CN / CNM / CNC) roles

• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
