Overview

The Nursing Director is a driven, visible, hands-on leader who leads a team of Nursing Managers to provide developmental and training support to nursing staff. This engaged Nursing leader is charged with ensuring the provision of quality nursing care to patients by engaging staff in professional development, teaching best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality training, oversight and support. The Nursing Director works collaboratively with Operations and Medical leadership, Nursing Managers, and Nursing staff to develop and implement a training and staff development program. This key leader serves as a subject-matter expert and consultant on nursing services to the VP of Operations for the respective geographic territory.

Responsibilities
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP:
    • Leads nursing operations and performance across assigned geography.
    • Implements programs and initiatives for nursing services across assigned state(s) to advance organizational mission, vision, and values.
    • Identifies and deploys new revenue opportunities for the assigned state(s), exercises cost-effective management of resources.
    • Supports the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff.
    • Requires regular travel to BrightView centers to provide in-person training and oversight.
  • PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION AND QUALITY ASSURANCE:
    • Ensures high-fidelity delivery and oversight of BrightView’s expected nursing programming, including the achievement of nursing quality KPIs, across the respective geographic territory.
    • Oversees, monitors and manages performance of BrightView’s care delivery programming model.
    • Implements and supports development of a comprehensive nursing staff competency program.
    • Implements a comprehensive nursing development model to train on best-practices in nursing services.
  • REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND STANDARDS ADHERENCE:
    • Develops and implements standards of nursing treatment delivery for all nursing staff, in compliance with the standards of county, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
    • Ensures and audits appropriate use of evidence-based treatment approaches.
    • Collaborates with BrightView’s Compliance team in providing training and development in response to plans of correction, to ensure adherence to county, state, and federal statutes.
  • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AND TRAINING:
    • Trains on best-practices for nursing care delivery as part of nursing staff development
    • Participates and attends events, activities, and/or trainings to enhance BrightView’s presence.
    • Aligns nursing program design recommendations across disciplines, to ensure a cohesive care delivery model.
    • Requires regular travel to BrightView centers to provide in-person training and oversight.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Knowledge of recovery, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders;
    • Experience in working with addiction in an outpatient and/or intensive outpatient milieu;
    • Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff;
    • Management and leadership experience;
    • Excellence in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or other equivalent degrees
    • 5+ Years of relevant work experience.
  • CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE:
    • State licensed Registered Nurse (RN)

Skills Required
