Nursing Assistant –Nicu
Location: Baptist Health Lexington – Lexington, KY
Schedule: Part-time, First Shift
UNIT OVERVIEW: 5A NICU is a 32-bed private room NICU caring for High-Risk neonates from 28 weeks to full-term.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support services to patients and families. This role performs selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients.
REQUIREMENTS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education.
-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain -BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
