Job DescriptionA Nursing Assistant's responsibilities may include:
Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs
Complete personal hygiene
Collecting specimens
Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise
Transporting patients between departments
Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient
Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times.
May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Skills Required
- Adult CPR certification must be obtained and maintained at all times; child and infant CPR may be required by some departments.
- Ability to lift more than 35 pounds if required by the department.
