You’ll lead the City’s production nursery, playing a vital role in delivering quality plant stock for parks, streetscapes and conservation projects. This is an opportunity to combine horticultural expertise, operational planning and people leadership while contributing to a greener and more sustainable community.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead daily nursery operations and staff
  • Plan seasonal production and propagation programs
  • Coordinate suppliers, contractors and operations teams
  • Manage nursery budget and annual reporting
  • Oversee irrigation systems and water efficiency
  • Maintain NIASA quality, safety and hygiene
  • Recruit, mentor and review team performance
  • Respond professionally to customer enquiries

    Qualifications

    What You’ll Bring

    We’re looking for a nursery leader passionate about horticulture and team success. You'll ideally bring:

    • Diploma in Nursery Management or Horticulture
    • Extensive nursery management leadership experience
    • Strong propagation and plant production knowledge
    • Sound irrigation systems management expertise
    • Proficiency using Word, Excel and systems
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Current Driver’s Licence and First Aid
