Job Description
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Provide medical support to preschool-aged children, some with significant disabilities and medical needs, attending the Approved Private School.
- Manage student documentation, providing appropriate medical care and medication administration, as well as coordinating with staff in the program.
- Administer first aid and illness assessment, emergency care when needed, administering medications, completing feedings and other medically necessary procedures.
- Consult with staff members as well as administration, coordinating with private duty nurses, maintaining medical records, assisting families with medical questions and medical documentation needed, and other duties as needed.
- Communicate with other staff, students and parents to address any medical or safety concerns.
Non-essential Duties/Functions:
- Perform other related administrative tasks on occasion.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Pennsylvania RN or LPN license required.
- Experience in seizure management as well as experience with all aspects of tube feeding required.
- Prior work experience with children with special needs preferred.
- School-based experience a plus.
- Adult, Child, & Infant CPR and First Aid Certifications required.
- Excellent documentation as well as written and verbal communication skills required.
- Complete all clearances as required.
