Job Description

As the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) for the Operating Theatres, you will provide strategic leadership and clinical governance to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the perioperative and postoperative stages.

This pivotal leadership role requires clinical aptitude, dynamic planning, and supportive leadership to enable your nursing team to thrive.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must display strong clinical knowledge and competence within an acute surgical setting. You will hold a genuine passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values.

Position Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum five (5) years’ postgraduate experience in the perioperative setting
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams with a proven ability to drive operational efficiency and foster a culture of excellence
  • Clinical Leadership and Management post graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Experience managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to engage, influence and collaborate effectively with diverse alignment of objectives
