Job SummaryProvides quality patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN, following physician orders and individualized care plans. Delivers nursing interventions, assists with patient monitoring, and supports restorative or supportive care using the nursing process while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program
- Completed second (2nd) semester and currently in or completed third (3rd), fourth (4th) and/or fifth (5th) semester of program
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written communication
- BLS certification required
- Previous healthcare or clinical experience preferred
- Experience in direct patient care settings preferred
- Provide patient care by collecting, monitoring, and reporting patient information
- Assist RN/LPN with advanced patient care activities as appropriate for skill level
- Promote patient engagement by considering individual needs, values, and preferences
- Report changes in patient condition and ensure continuity of care
- Demonstrate infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and PPE use
- Recognize safety risks such as falls, skin breakdown, and injury and report to RN/LPN
- Participate in department performance improvement activities
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and reliability
- Accept assignments and assist team members as needed
- Support a safe and compassionate environment for patients and families
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices
- Exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous materials
- Manual dexterity for patient care tasks and equipment use
- Adequate vision, hearing, and communication abilities
