If you are a dedicated and caring Nurse Manager looking to step away from the bedside into a rewarding role, please read further! We need strong nurses who are experienced and interested in working directly with clients who are being treated for substance use disorders and mental health stabilization. We constantly strive to build an amazing team tasked with caring for our clients. While performing your day-to-day nursing duties, you will perform very little to no bedside care! This position over sees both of our residential programs located in West Chester, PA


Must have experience working in substance abuse.

Qualifications:

Education/ Training:

Degree from an accredited college or university's professional nursing program; must

possess a current RN license in good standing for the applicable state.

 

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, with 1 year of experience treating individuals with substance use, mental health, or other related disorders. Minimum 2 years' experience as a charge nurse or supervising health care worker(s). (May substitute BSN for 1 year of nursing experience and MSN for 2 years of nursing experience and 1 year of charge nurse or supervisory experience.

 

Also:

  1. Required to work one weekend and one-off shift per month to ensure contact with all medical staff.
  2. Will be required to work during staffing shortages and holidays as necessary.
  3. This position is deemed essential and will be required to work during inclement weather.

 

Your responsibilities in this role may include:

  1. Ensures consistency in adhering to and promoting Gaudenzia's treatment model, policies, procedures, and local and state regulations.
  2. Ensure compliance with medication handling and administration policies, and local and state regulations.
  3. Develops, maintains, and ensures the quality of counseling and education of clients on Disease Concepts of Addiction, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc
  4. Promotes, educates, and assists in the facilitation of medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
  5. Oversees medical documentation/electronic health record (EHR) uses.
  6. Provide effective leadership to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  7. Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing personnel, providing feedback and implementing training programs as needed.
  8. Foster professional growth and development among nursing staff through mentoring and continuing education opportunities.
  9. Responsible for recruitment, training, and maintaining quality staff.
  10. Ensure adherence to established clinical protocols, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
  11. Monitor patient care activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
  12. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  13. Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  14. Oversee the procurement and maintenance of necessary equipment, supplies, and medications.
  15. Participate in budget planning and financial management activities for the nursing department. Including oversight and assistance with managed care and or other payor sources.
  16. Lead quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  17. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to patient care outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff productivity.
  18. Implement strategies to address deficiencies and enhance the overall quality of care.
  19. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other healthcare disciplines, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  20. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care and address patient-related concerns.
  21. Communicate with patients and their families to ensure understanding of treatment plans and address any questions or concerns.
  22. Ensure that nursing staff are following required documentation guidelines within the timeframe dictated by the level of care, licensing, and regulatory entities.
  23. Participates in the development, implementation, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  24. Serve as a liaison between our healthcare team and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to uphold exceptional patient care standards and good relationships to facilitate mutual referrals.
  25. Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the specific health care issues and co-morbidities experienced by individuals with substance use disorder and mental illness.
  • Knowledge of special populations being served, including individuals with criminal justice involvement, women,and children, homeless, HIV/AIDS, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic principles, practices, and procedures involved in treatment programs.
  • Knowledge of correct record keeping in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards of practice.
  • Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements and practices for adults and children.
  • Knowledge of safe standards of nursing practice.
  • Ability to exercise administrative and professional supervision of employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with clients to gain confidence and cooperation.
  • Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to plan and organize work and prepare appropriate, accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, health care providers, outside agencies, institutions, and the general public.
  • Skilled at using computers, including familiarity and faculty with Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel.

Pay Range

$99,213 - $111,615 based upon experience
