Nurse Manager/Nursery (13046)

Job Summary:

• The Nurse Manager-Nursery will provide leadership and management of a level II NICU
• Management of staff, staff assessments, and daily operations of the NICU
• Establish and implement standards of practice that comply with regulatory agencies.
• Assure responsibility of overall productivity and successful budgeting for unit
• Collaborate with the Director of Maternity Services and other department leaders to maintain the highest level of care.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality

Education: 

• Bachelor of science in nursing and currently licensed in the state of Alabama required. MSN preferred

Experience: 

• Minimum of three years' clinical hospital experience in a supervisory capacity required. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to ensure provision of appropriate patient care in assigned areas of responsibility. Must have previous critical care experience. 

Additional Skills/Abilities:

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required. BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date.
