- The Nurse Manager-Nursery will provide leadership and management of a level II NICU
- Management of staff, staff assessments, and daily operations of the NICU
- Establish and implement standards of practice that comply with regulatory agencies.
- Assure responsibility of overall productivity and successful budgeting for unit
- Collaborate with the Director of Maternity Services and other department leaders to maintain the highest level of care.

Education:
- Bachelor of science in nursing and currently licensed in the state of Alabama required. MSN preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of three years' clinical hospital experience in a supervisory capacity required. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to ensure provision of appropriate patient care in assigned areas of responsibility. Must have previous critical care experience.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests. Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required. BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date.
Skills Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Currently licensed RN in the state of Alabama
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Minimum of three years clinical hospital experience in a supervisory capacity
- Previous critical care experience
- BLS certification (within one year of hire)
- NRP certification (within one year of hire)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for guest/patient interaction
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
