Responsible for participating in the planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, integration, optimization and maintenance of clinical information systems and associated applications. Incorporates the components of clinical practice, affiliate workflows and regulatory requirements to ensure a cohesive clinical information system that reflects the total patient care experience. Utilizing clinical knowledge and advanced problem solving skills, functions as the primary champion and spokesperson for all non-physician clinical care givers and is the bridge between local, regional and enterprise IS organizations and end-users working collaboratively with the IS Support Team, Nursing Leadership, and selected technology companies to impact change for ongoing optimization of clinical information systems and associated applications. Responsible for validating and redesigning work flow and clinical content review for all clinical areas. Develops and maintains interdisciplinary teams to partner and resolve issues identified. Identifies, reviews and recommends process and policy changes related to clinical documentation that may be further impacted by the evolution of the Sutter Health's clinical information systems. Provides focused attention and direction in the utilization of data from clinical information systems to develop metrics to improve and monitor patient care productivity.Job Description:

- Master's: Nursing Informatics, Health Care Administration, or clinical related field
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Expert competency in applying evidence-based knowledge, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare operations and departments, including a broad understanding of physician and clinical staff workflows, patient care, quality assessment and improvement, and with the proven ability to guide the planning and adoption of applications integral to the clinical environment.
- Robust knowledge of local, state, federal, and accrediting body regulations and standards related to healthcare, including a solid understanding of the Joint Commission standards and documentation requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, conflict identification and resolution, group problem solving and group process to build consensus and institute effective changes.
- Exceptional analytical and project management skills, including the ability to analyze problems and reach practical conclusions that streamline processes, improve productivity, or increase the quality of care.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills to explain clinical information and program data clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Advanced proficiency working with computers, including Microsoft office Suite, navigating electronic health records (EHRs) in EPIC or other clinical information systems, performing data analysis, and generating value-add reports.

Pay Range is $90,480.00 to $118,528.80 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
