Working under the direction of nursing leadership, the Nurse Educator oversees the development, implementation, and sustainment of comprehensive training programs designed to elevate the competencies of clinical caregivers within Providence Medical Group (PMG). This role prioritizes the application of educational theory and change-management methods to enhance clinical development to improve staff proficiency, reinforcing both safe practices and favorable patient results.  This position engages in cooperative efforts with operational managers, cross-disciplinary team members, and clinical training personnel—including clinical educators, specialists in professional development, and clinical nurse experts—to establish educational initiatives and programs that align with collective goals and promote the highest standards of clinical/nursing practice.  This role advocates for, adapts to, and integrates a culture of interdisciplinary cooperation, expertise in practice, and the pursuit of excellence in clinical outcomes.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. And 
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 5 years Nursing experience.
  • 3 years Ambulatory care nursing experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, Healthcare Administration , or related field.
  • 3 years Experience in adult education and adult learning theories 
  • 3 years Experience in program development and evaluation

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
