Nurse Educator / Employee Health Nurse

Schedule: Full-Time

Introduction Join our dynamic team as a Nurse Educator/Employee Health Nurse, where you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of health and learning. In this dual position, you'll have the opportunity to educate and empower our nursing staff while also promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of our employees. Your expertise and passion for nursing education and employee health will be instrumental in advancing our mission to provide exceptional care and support to our workforce.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess the training needs of employees and design appropriate learning interventions.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new nursing staff to ensure they are familiar with organizational protocols and procedures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and modify them to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Provide individual coaching and mentorship to nursing staff to improve performance and professional development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate continuing education opportunities and workshops for staff to maintain licensure and certifications. 
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of educational activities, employee participation, and outcomes.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings for employees, providing guidance on maintaining personal health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with occupational health services to manage employee health issues and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of employee health policies and procedures.
  • Provide consultation and guidance on infection control and prevention measures within the organization.
  • Act as a resource for staff on health-related issues, offering advice and support as needed.
  • Engage in research and evidence-based practice to improve educational content and health initiatives.
  • Serve on committees related to staff development

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Master of Science in Nursing Education.

  • Registered Nurse in the State. 

  • BLS, ACLS and PALS. 

  • Two-year experience in an educator role.
