Job Description

We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to join our dynamic team at our Melbourne City Clinic in North Melbourne on a full time basis.

Genea Nurses provide frontline care to our patients, supporting them along every step of their Fertility treatment. This role is unique, you'll be working in an office environment interacting with our patients both over the phone and face to face. Alongside clinical duties, a significant proportion of your role will involve providing patient care, support and education.

On a daily basis your role will involve:

  • Patient face to face interviews and phone chats
  • Collaborating with doctors and scientists coordinating care, working together to tailor unique treatment plans for each patient.
  • Providing instructions to patients for the self administration of IVF drugs
  • Providing results to patients over the phone and support at any point required
  • Maintaining accurate patient records, clinical data entry and general administration duties associated with the role

Qualifications

 

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (with a current AHPRA registration) who is genuinely interested in specialising in fertility for this role. You will have strong clinical skills, but also strong people skills as large component of this role involves support and counselling. We are looking for empathetic Nurses, who can build rapport and provide genuine, authentic care to our patients. Previous fertility nurse experience, whilst not essential, is highly desirable. 

As this role is office based you will need also strong administration skills and technical competence - at Genea we work across a number of different IT systems which you will need to learn.

Skills Required

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, empathy, counselling, and patient-support skills
  • Interest in specializing in fertility and IVF
  • Strong administration skills and technical competence
  • Previous fertility nurse experience
