NPI Transition Manager
Job Description
About the Role:
At Brooks, we are at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, developing technologies that power a range of electronic devices around the globe. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced NPI Transition Manager to join our team in Johor Bahru to set up our Greenfield manufacturing site. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the production of cutting-edge semiconductor components, in a facility known for its technological advancement and commitment to quality.
As the NPI Transition Manager, you will be instrumental in managing the seamless transition of new and existing products from development to full-scale production. The initial focus will be primarily on factory-to-factory transitions within our existing network of sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments to ensure that every new product launch is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Shared ownership for product material costs with full understanding and reporting of cost drivers and cost changes

Partners with the supply chain organization to ensure the team meets planned material costs including alignment with commodity strategies for supply base optimization and lowest total acquisition cost.

Coordinate with the PDI Project Lead to ensure new product releases are aligned with the Brooks Product Life-Cycle Phase/Gates and the products are efficiently and accurately released through all required Product Lifecycle Management (Agile) and ERP (Oracle) Systems.

Identify and track any potential risks to the product transition and develop potential solutions to mitigate those risks.

Define, Document, and Control the Scope of Work for assigned projects

Create Work breakdown structures, define Milestones, requirements, and establish project schedules

Track action items, report project progress, troubleshoot problems, escalate, and adjust plans as needed

Liaise with supply chain management to ensure appropriate support and execution of NPI deliverables and ensure appropriate delivery and cost targets are being met.

Utilize the “Product Lifecycle Management” process, which defines the requirements for completing typical projects.

Active engagement in process improvements to continually increase efficiency and effectiveness of product development and supply chain processes.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 6-8 years’ experience in NPI within the Semiconductor industry (preferred) or other similar industrial / manufacturing companies

Project Management credentials are preferred (PMP); other formal supply chain qualification (e.g., CIPS) would be good to have

Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) - solid understanding of production workflow is required

Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement teams and activities

Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles; some exposure to materials is preferred but not mandatory

Demonstrated strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Exposure to Smartsheet, Project or other Project Management software would be advantageous
