Job Description
You will be responsible for facilitating and implementation of the supplier evaluation, component evaluation for production, risk assessments and mitigation plans as part of new product implementation projects.
The person who joins our team will have the opportunity to support projects on a global scale by establishing cooperation with diverse Rockwell Automation teams and with representatives of suppliers from different regions of the world.
The Engineer will represent the Supplier Quality Team at meetings, presenting reports, risks and will provide feedback to colleagues and managers.

You will be located in our office, in Katowice, Poland and You will report to Global NPI Supplier Quality Manager and You will work with Project Teams and Suppliers from all over the world.
Your Responsibilities:- You will support new product implementation projects or product transfer projects with a focus on prevention and optimization and on efficient completion of tasks. You will coordinate the activities of the international SQE team.
- Supplier qualification and evaluation. Assessment and mitigation of risks related to suppliers quality.
- You will monitor the qualitative indicators for indicated projects.
- You will monitor and report the progress and risks related to the quality of suppliers to the project team, managers. Collaboration with design engineers, other SQEs, Procurement to minimise risks.
- You will Identify and support continuous improvement processes and focus on achieving business goals.
- Participation in the improvement of the management system compliant with the ISO 9001: 2015 standard; ISO 45001 and with the environmental standard 14000: 2015.
- You will ensure an acceptable level of quality of materials and services provided by Suppliers. You will participate in reviews of drawings, critical characteristics.
- You will perform a production part approval process following Rockwell Automation PPAP procedures.
- You will conduct activities following APQP guidelines, You will cooperate with Product Quality Engineers, Production Quality Engineers. Run at Rate analysis, Process Capability, MSA verification.
- You will initiate and conduct processes related to solving quality problems using correctly selected methods, processes and quality tools, such as: 5Why, 8D, Ishikawa diagram, DOE, SPC, FMEA. Cooperation with other teams of engineers, representatives of Suppliers.
- Knowledge of the specifics of important component groups - production methods, measurements, related risks.
- You will implement training related to the subject of supplier quality design.
- You will provide business expertise in the field of quality, best practices, compliance with procedures and requirements, Lean projects and our goals.
- Active participation in the process of managing engineering changes, the process of managing deviations.
- Higher technical education (preferably electrical or mechanical)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in quality and / or project management (PMI / PMP certificate ...)
- Proficiency in the use of computer systems and software. Experience of MS excel (can perform complex functions) is required.
- Practical knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning tools.
- Knowledge of quality tools and processes: 8D Report, 5Why analysis.
- Technical knowledge in the field of production processes of electronic or electromechanical products.
- Good reading and interpreting technical drawings, knowledge of GD&T.
- Knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001 standard. Being an external / internal auditor will be an advantage.
- Understand the basics of quality management in the software area, software security.
- Team spirit, risk-based prioritization of tasks, decision-making are important.
- The ability to look at the problem critically, listen actively are required to work well with project teams.
- Active category B driving license and willingness to travel (25%).
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- LSS certificate (Green/ Black Belt) would be an advantage.
