The Role

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Factory Cross-Functional NPI Project Leadership: Independently lead full-cycle factory NPI, manufacturing localization and production line transfer projects, anchor factory internal delivery targets (yield rate, production efficiency, process stability, compliance, launch timeline). Closely coordinate and align with all factory operation departments (production, process, engineering, quality, planning, material, equipment) to unify project execution standards and resolve cross-department docking barriers.

·       On-Site Project Execution & Progress Control: Develop detailed factory-based NPI project schedules covering sample trial production, small-batch trial run, mass production validation and process verification. Sort out factory internal task dependencies, allocate on-site production resources, track daily/weekly project execution progress, and strictly control project timeline, on-site trial production cost and resource consumption to ensure on-time and high-quality project delivery.

·       Factory On-Site Risk & Quality Management: Adopt Danaher Project Management tools and visual management systems to monitor full-process factory NPI project status. Proactively identify on-site production risks, process defects, material matching problems, equipment debugging abnormalities and compliance risks during product introduction. Organize factory functional teams to conduct root cause analysis, formulate and implement improvement and mitigation plans, and avoid production delay and quality hidden troubles.

·       Internal Factory Resource Coordination & Team Synergy: Serve as the core liaison for factory NPI projects, responsible for daily communication, task deployment and progress reporting to factory department leaders, production management and global functional teams. Integrate internal factory manpower, equipment, workshop and material resources, drive efficient collaboration of multi-functional on-site teams, and build a rigorous and efficient on-site project execution atmosphere.

·       Production Transfer & Localization Implementation: Lead localized manufacturing upgrade and offline production transfer projects, cooperate with factory supply chain team to complete localized material verification, supplier trial production confirmation and localized process optimization. Ensure all new products meet Made-in-China production specifications, regulatory registration requirements and factory mass production standards.

·       Project Summary & Factory Process Iteration: Sort out NPI project implementation data, summarize on-site production problems and successful experience, form standardized project archives. Promote the iteration and optimization of factory NPI process specifications, trial production SOP and cross-department collaboration mechanism, and continuously improve the factory’s new product mass production capability.

III. REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

Education & Experience

·       Possess solid factory on-site GMP production and quality management practical experience, hold minimum three valid Class II / Class III medical device registration related licenses, familiar with medical device factory production compliance and regulatory requirements.

·       Bachelor’s degree or higher, with minimum 5+ years factory-side NPI, new product mass production verification and production transfer end-to-end project management experience; proven track record in leading cross-department factory teams (over 20 members) to complete new product launch and production stabilization projects.

·       Major in automation, optics, electronics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or other production-related disciplines; background in life science research or biomedical manufacturing is a plus.

·       Possess Professional Project Manager (PMP) certification or Danaher Visual Project Management professional training certificate, familiar with Danaher Business System (DBS) and factory lean production management system is highly preferred.

Business & Factory Operation Expertise

·       Proficient in factory production cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis, including production material consumption, on-site labor cost, workshop overhead, equipment capital depreciation and other production-related variable costs, capable of evaluating and optimizing project production margin after manufacturing localization and transfer.

·       Familiar with China local factory supply chain and processing resources, have practical working experience in localized procurement and production verification of metal machining, plastics processing, optical parts, PCBA and other core production materials.

·       Hands-on experience in full-cycle management of global production line transfer, factory NPI trial production and new product development & mass production (NPD) projects, familiar with the whole process from product sample verification, small-batch trial run to stable mass production in the factory.

·       Experienced in leading multi-disciplinary factory on-site teams and cooperating with global cross-cultural teams, capable of adapting to factory on-site project management scenarios.

Project Management Capabilities

·       Capable of managing multiple parallel factory NPI and production transfer projects, independently build factory project teams, formulate master trial production schedules, and reasonably deploy factory production equipment, manpower and material resources to match functional work demands.

·       Predominantly based in Shanghai factory, able to travel to domestic branch factories and production bases nationwide and accept short-term business trips to overseas sites including Germany, Singapore, United States for production docking and project alignment.

·       Strong factory cross-department driving & execution capability, able to effectively coordinate internal production, engineering, quality, supply chain and planning teams, align global and local stakeholder expectations, and ensure on-time and compliant project delivery.

·       Excellent factory on-site risk identification, assessment and full-cycle control capabilities, proficient in formulating targeted mitigation plans for production process risks, equipment debugging problems and quality abnormalities, with rich on-site problem-solving implementation experience.

Problem Solving

·       Quickly respond to on-site factory project emergencies, flexibly coordinate internal factory resources, efficiently resolve cross-department collaboration conflicts, production execution bottlenecks and project schedule risks, and ensure continuous and stable progress of NPI projects.

People & Coordination Skills

·       Strong on-site influence and cross-department negotiation ability, capable of uniting factory functional teams, efficiently docking with material suppliers and production service providers, and promoting smooth implementation of all factory NPI project tasks.

Language

·       Fluent in both written and verbal Chinese and English, capable of completing daily factory project communication, global conference docking and project document compilation in both languages.
