NPI & Configuration Control Engineer

We are seeking an experienced NPI & Configuration Control Engineer to lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI), product configuration control, and release management activities across the company's product portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product data, hardware and software releases, BOM management, and coordination with global offices and manufacturing subcontractors. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting product lifecycle management, manufacturing readiness, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage NPI (New Product Introduction) and Configuration Control activities for all company products.
• Own and maintain product configuration management processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Manage software and hardware release activities for manufacturing partners, including Flex China and other subcontractors.
• Ensure subcontractors maintain the required technical knowledge and capability to support production and engineering requirements.
• Deliver training, guidance, and ongoing support to global company offices on NPI, release management, and configuration control processes.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of Hardware and Software Bills of Materials (BOMs) within Agile PLM.
• Review and verify the accuracy of translated engineering and technical documentation from English to Chinese.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product releases and lifecycle management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product data management, change control, and release processes.

• Practical Engineer degree in Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electronics industry.
• Experience in NPI, Configuration Control, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or a related engineering operations role.
• Hands-on experience with engineering management tools, preferably Agile PLM.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong service orientation with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
