The Lead Process Manufacturing Engineer will lead the manufacturing development of NPI (New Product Introduction) and NTI (New Technology Introduction). You will ensure that design for manufacturing (DFM) remains a priority throughout the product development cycle. You will provide feedback and direction to collaborative teams, resolve manufacturing challenges, and deliver documentation, tooling, and training to enable efficient production in a clean and safe manufacturing environment. You will work with relevant functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are met. This individual will be self-directed and hands-on with capability to manage multiple tasks within a day and prioritize short term needs requiring immediate attention.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as the manufacturing process owner for new products from concept, through prototypes and into production.
  • Lead build of prototypes and engineering development units to validate manufacturability and refine processes.
  • Lead or support PPAP/FAI packages for new products, including control plans, capability data, and process documentation.
  • Lead PFMEAs for new processes, identifying risks and implementing preventive controls and mistake-proofing (poka-yoke).
  • Capture and share NPD lessons learned, feeding back into design guidelines, process standards, and future NPD projects.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and tooling for NPD manufacturing lines or cells.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace or related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED and 7 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience

The base pay range for this position is $87,000 - $100,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on March 27, 2026.
