JOB PURPOSE
As a Nordic Payroll Specialist, your responsibility is to ensure Unilever's payroll deliveries, ensuring service and quality from our external partners in the four Nordic countries.
You will be an important link between the company, employees and our salary-related partners. A great focus is on developing collaboration and building relationships with our suppliers in payroll, time and attendance accounting as well as pensions and benefits, ensuring and improving our processes. In this role, you also act as an internal contact person in salary, tax and pension issues and co-operate actively with finance and global mobility. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing ongoing salary, pension and benefit matters
- Responding to service requests related to payroll inquiries
- Serving as reference point for escalated payroll inquiries, including trouble shooting requests, working closely with your People Experience team and external vendors
- Processing off-cycle requests as needed, submission of one-time payments, verifying payroll output
- Building relationships with our external vendors in payroll, in all Nordic countries, ensuring and verifying payroll processes also locally
- Working closely with payroll vendor regarding tax notices, maintaining tax registrations
- Facilitating year-end activities and other internal checkpoints including adjustments, reconciliation and providing data analytics
- Reconciliation of salary/benefits/pension to the financial system
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration
- 5 years of experience in payroll management and processes
- Experience in working with outsourced payroll management
- Knowledge of wage and tax laws
- Proactive and service minded attitude
- Capability to take over projects and control checkpoints
- Fluency in English as well as Swedish, Finnish or Danish
- Background in ProMark system is seen a plus, as well as experience in building service interfaces and system set-ups together with external vendors
