Job Description:

Summary / purpose of the position

The main task will be to manage market access projects according to company strategy and pipeline with the purpose to ensure that all appropriate patients who would benefit, get rapid and maintained access to our Medicines, at an adequate price.

It is also a unique opportunity to work in a company dedicated to finding treatment options for rare and ultra-rare diseases which is one of the most interesting fields within the industry besides the already established foundation within the therapy areas of Oncology and Neuroscience. The position naturally also includes extensive cross-functional collaboration resulting in a broad knowledge of all different departments and products at Ipsen.

Main responsibilities / job expectations

  • Development of reimbursement/HTA applications for new products or indication extensions in close collaboration with local and global functions (HEOR, Market Access, Medical Affairs and Commercial). This includes full responsibility and project lead of the processes in terms of managing communication and requests from all HTA agencies, from submission to end negotiations.
  • Manage reimbursement renewals related to Finland
  • Creation of product value communication in line with the overall product strategies.
  • Provide market access expertise to support commercial strategies and campaigns and ensuring market access requirements are embedded within the brand plan.
  • Serve as a member of the cross-functional brand teams.
  • Remain current regarding the market access environment & key trends in the Nordic countries, and the impact for Ipsen products.
  • Develop relationships with key influential authority bodies to optimize chances of success in the above activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of public relations and government affairs strategy as it pertains to the market access environment.
  • Monitor local pricing issues, assess risks and opportunities and communicate to global & local stakeholders to develop appropriate plans.
  • Handling of price changes to the Nordic pricing and reimbursement authorities.
  • Maintenance of internal planning and price/reimbursement databases.

Knowledge, abilities & experience

Education / Certifications:

  • A university degree in health economics, public health, pharmacy, Business & Administration or equivalent education.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of the Nordic Health Care organization and financing system & HTA pathways and guidelines
  • Previous experience of working within the field of Market Access/HEOR.

Languages:

  • Fluent in one of the Nordic languages.
  • High level of verbal and written English.
  • Basic understanding of Swedish.

Key Technical Competencies Required

  • Ability to understand scientific data and how it can be utilized for market access purposes.
  • Thorough and meticulous, with the ability to prioritize.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Good understanding of, and prior experience in developing strategies for achieving access in the Nordic environment. 
  • Knowledge of the Nordic Health Care organization and financing system.
