What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare monthly financial data, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other reports, as part of the month-end close process.
- Process journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze data to keep everything in tip-top shape.
- Collaborate across departments to track revenues, expenses, payroll distributions, and more.
- Assist with internal and external audits—coordinating documents and supporting the Accounting Manager.
- Support government filings, tax documentation, and complex financial reporting.
- Help identify and implement accounting controls and procedures to stay compliant with GAAP.
- Mentor our accounting clerk and pitch in on special projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus!).
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with care.
