We are currently recruiting for a Non-Inventory Area Manager, Procurement for our pharmacy fulfillment center in Goodyear, AZ! This role requires a candidate with a consistent record of assessing inventory, interceding on pricing, and coordinating purchases. They will need to have the ability to meet targets and keep pace with our fast growth. This individual will be someone who loves dealing with ambiguity, change, and enjoys getting into the details to think big and drive improvements every single day.
What You'll Do:
- Primary on-site procurement contact that will provide procurement operations support for fulfillment center(s) through purchase of non-inventory products and base building services, vendor management, and procurement related projects
- Lead and Develop a team of 4+ non-inventory receivers across multiple shifts (days/nights)
- Responsible for handling over $30M+ yearly per FC handled through active purchasing of non-inventory goods and services
- Run capital expenditure projects through PO creation and vendor management; project valuations from $10k to over $15M
- Complete daily inventory counts of inventory to analyze and forecast future need
- Become a subject matter authority in several areas of indirect spend from material specs to industry knowledge of services to accurately assess projects and needs of the business
- Partner with internal customers, such as Finance Manager or GM, to positively influence spending decisions, while developing measures for supervising savings and other valuable metrics
- Intercede with vendors and suppliers to provide valuable cost savings to the overall business and create agreements and establish contracts as vital
- Problem solve multiple areas with high level of speed and precision; from supplier performance and delivery to internal team delivery of products to operations
- Complete indirect inventory ordering through a P2P cloud-based system
- Have detailed knowledge of indirect inventory shipment tracking, receipt, and confirmation of PO delivery to meet metric expectations
- Maintain on site procurement files including JI's for team
- Own flow, supply, and space management of non-inventory materials through active daily tracking against network standards
- Complete project initiatives by working cross functionally with multiple departments to drive savings and overall service level improvements
- Actively partner with AP, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely payment to vendors and resolve payment issues as they arrive
- Understand safety responsibilities of direct Team Members to ensure safe working environment
- Complete work in a warehouse environment where the team is not centrally located requiring frequent walking or time away from desk in order to ensure team is effectively supported
- Complete supply chain and network level projects or additional work as designated
What You'll Need:
- Bachelors or Master's in Business or related field OR 5+ years in related field
- 2+ years of procurement experience for a fulfillment center or related area
- 1+ years of leading onsite Team Members, vendor interaction, and expediting of services
- Sophisticated analytics and Excel skills including knowledge of how to analyze data through formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills while dealing with multiple high priority items simultaneously while shifting priorities as necessary
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective problem solving and team management
- Comfort assessing teams needs by adjusting own hours is vital to meet with both day and night Team Members
- The highest levels of integrity and ethics
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other related P2P systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- High adaptability to constant changing environment
- Strong ability to remain self-motivated and lead team without direct manager oversight
- Be comfortable working with and providing input to several levels of management
- Understand and navigate through complexities of multiple manager requests or opinions
- Ability to foresee potential issues and advocate for resolution while being a great partner
- Supply Chain Background (e.g. logistics, inventory turn management, forecasting, operations)
- Position may require up to 25% travel
